Honey Whole Grain Bread

Ingredients:
  • 3 Cups Hudson Cream Unbleached Flour
  • 2 packages Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Salt
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Cottage Cheese
  • 4 Tablespoons Margarine
  • 1/2 Cup Honey
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 1/2 Cups Hudson Cream Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Old Fashioned Rolled Oats

Directions:
  • ​In a large bowl, combine 2 cups white flour with yeast and salt.  Heat water, cottage cheese, margarine, and honey to 120 degrees F.  Add warm liquid and eggs to flour mixture.  Mix well.  Add whole wheat flour and oats.  Stir in remaining white flour, adding more if necessary.  Knead until smooth and elastic.  
  • Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled.  Punch down, shape loaves, and place in 2 greased 9 x 5 x 3- inch pans.  
  • Cover and let rise until doubled. 
Cook Time & Temperature: 
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes.  Remove from pans onto cooling rack.
