Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients:
Yields: 9x13 pan of rolls
  • 1 Tablespoon Yeast (3/8 ounce)
  • ½ Cup Granulated Sugar (4 ounces)
  • 5 ¼ Cups Flour (1 pound + 7.75 ounces)
  • ½ Tablespoon Salt (3/8 ounce)
  • 0.8 ounces Non-Fat Dry Milk
  • 1/3 Cup Vegetable or Canola Oil (2 ounces)
  • 1 ¾ Cup Very Warm Water-120-130 degrees F (14 ounces)
Filling:
  • ​½ Cup Butter
  • ½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
  • ¼ Cup Granulated Sugar
Frosting:
  • ½ Cup Butter
  • 3 Tablespoons Shortening
  • 1 Teaspoons Vanilla
  • 2 Cups Powdered Sugar
  • Milk- added as needed to thin

Directions:
  • Combine yeast, sugar, flour, salt and non-fat dry milk and stir well. 
  • Add in water and oil.  Mix for 5 minutes. 
  • Cover and let dough rise until doubled in size.  
  • Roll into rectangle shape and spread with cinnamon filling. 
  • Tightly roll up and seal edges. 
  • Slice into 1.5-inch sections and place in greased 9x13 pan. 
  • Cover and let raise an additional 20 minutes. 
  • Bake 375 degrees F for 17-19 minutes or until tops are gold brown and center is cooked.
