Biscuits

Ingredients:
Yields: 11 biscuits (2.5 inch cutter)
  • 2 Cups Flour (8.75 ounces)
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder (0.5 ounces)
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Salt (0.25 ounces)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Baking soda (0.125 ounces)
  • 1/3 Cup Shortening (2.25 ounces)
  • 3/4 Cup Water (6.5 ounces)
  • 0.8 ounces Non-Fat Dry Milk

Directions:
  • Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda and non-fat dry milk in a bowl until well combined. 
  • Cut in shortening until dough is coarse and crumbly. 
  • Add the water and stir just until combined, taking care not to over-mix. 
  • Roll out onto lightly floured surface and cut biscuits into desired size. 
  • Place with sides touching on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 15 minutes at 425 degrees F.
